That's the reality for Haitian families in Springfield right now. ICE raids have intensified, neighbors are being detained and shackled, and last Sunday, agents stood outside at least two churches. This week, two beloved pastors were taken from their own community.

Pastor Adrien, a widely respected faith leader, has lived in the United States for five years, has no criminal history, no prior immigration detention, and no final order of removal. He has not lived in Haiti for more than 20 years. He has worked steadily for major Ohio employers and filed federal income taxes every year from 2021 through 2025. As pastor of the Haitian Church of the Nazarene, he provides spiritual leadership to more than 100 congregants. He also is a husband and father of two children, ages 15 and 7.
